Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Farm Bureau Oil Company/Countrymark for 19 years. Gary was a member of the American Legion Owen Dunn Post #5 and Ducks Unlimited. He was also a member of the Southwind Retriever Club and Little League Baseball where he held several offices, including president of both. Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Noel King.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Freddie (Allyn) King; sons, Michael (Alisa) King and Steven (Angie) King; grandchildren, Parker Ford and Christian King; brothers, Douglas (Pat) King and Larry (Miriam) King.
